Issues addressed through psychological counselling include anxiety, depression, phobias, relationship problems, grief and loss, adjustment difficulties, sexual dysfunction, pregnancy related issues, parenting, trauma, pain management, stress, bullying and harassment, career changes and addictions.

Hanne Paust is a friendly and highly skilled clinician, with several years of clinical experience from Correctional Services and Private Practice. Whilst it takes time to build trust in a new relationship, her clients generally express that they feel comfortable with her within the first session.

Hanne Paust works with individuals and couples, assisting them in achieving significant positive changes in the areas they have identified. You will be met with respect, acceptance and compassion. Your personal issues will be treated with outmost care and confidentiality. brain is constantly shaped by experiences. Whenever you focus your attention, the activated neural network involved gets stronger. In therapy we use the brain to change the brain. Dysfunctional patterns are identified and new helpful patterns developed through daily activation. We also discuss lifestyle factors that impact on the plasticity of the brain and work towards optimal brain functioning.

A professional Masters in Psychology at the University of Gothenburg (Sweden) has provided Hanne with a firm theoretical base in Psychoanalysis, Object Relations theory and Attachment theory. She is a certified Neuropsychotherapist. Interventions are tailored to the individual's needs and may include psycho-education regarding aetiology and the neurological basis of symptoms, insight oriented psychotherapy, cognitive-behavioural interventions, relaxation and mindfulness practice.
